Barramundi-an Australian original

A couple of weeks ago, I did a post on Giant Barramundi, which is an Australian freshwater fish.  Unfortunately, the photo I posted was of a Giant Trevali, which is a saltwater fish found in Australia and many other places as well.  It is now corrected.

Here are the photos of Barramundi.  This photo is of a truly enormous Barramundi.  Compare with the other photos in the post for comparison sake.

Thanks to Kerri from Clear Water Island Lodge in Australia for use of the photo of this terrific Giant Trevally.  Check out the website for more photos http://www.clearwaterislandlodge.com.au/  If you are ever in Australia and looking for adventure Clearwater Island Lodge is a great choice.

  1. A great fish to target especially for its acrobatic jumps when hooked! Beside, it can be caught by lures readily. A delicacy when properly cooked!
